Day 12: Eat Kebeh.

There must come a time in this 30 day challenge that I just find something around me to tick the box. Today was this day.

Having such a busy week and so many highlights over the last two weeks, it just could not continue today. I feel that the expectation each day is getting bigger and bigger. But today I had to do something quite low key.

I was invited by my dear twin friends Rebecca and Jaime to their sister's Nicole's shopping party. Nicole has recently opened a new business selling children's clothing, accessories and also ladies' handbags and jewellery. Nicole has been having a few parties lately to promote her business and her quality items.

At around 7pm I went down to their house to support the launching business and to also hang around and have a catch up with the girls. There were lots of cute designs for children and lovely pieces of jewellery on offer. I ended up purchasing a pair of earrings. I always cant resist jewellery.

But I still had not done something new this day. I was talking to my friends about what can I do, I only have a few hours left.

They suggested eating a kiwi whole. This has always been a joke between us, because the twins like to eat kiwis with the skin still on it. But there were no kiwis in the house. The twin's mum had cooked kebeh, a Lebanese meat dish. The girls suggested I try the kebeh. I thought I might as well.

I suppose trying a dish that I have never had before may not seem such a big deal, but in hindsight, it is a challenge for me.

The fussy eater who goes to a restaurant and asks for dishes without cheese, or mustard, no mayonaiise, no sauce, dressing on the side, no butter or well cooked finally gave her tastebuds something new.
